In 1997, John O’Connor and Dave Zendzian founded Oztek with the belief that by combining expertise in three disciplines—Power, Instrumentation and Control—the company could enable customers to develop projects using electronics with greater quality and faster speed.
In 2008, Oztek became an affliate of SEMIKRON. SEMIKRON comprises a global network of 35 companies with 10 production sites. SEMIKRON’s product offering consists of power semiconductors from 1 kW to 10 MW, including chips, discrete diodes/thyristors, power modules, driver and protection components and integrated subsystems. Amongst other developments SEMIKRON invented the world's first isolated power module, the Semipack, of which 56 million are presently in use.
